Beyond spending time on travel, the engineers need to get an entry pass and complete the regular security check at the customer site. Mascot realized that most of their engineer's time is spent on transit to customer locations than solving the actual problem the customer is facing. Mascot CNC Tools chose Smartlinks to support their customers from remote. Smartlinks helps the support engineers connect to the Robots, CNC Machines, PLCs, SCADA, and HMI from a remote location.

The Technical Support Engineer uses the Smartlinks Client Application to connect to the DaacoX gateway present in the customer location via Smartlinks cloud service. Smartlinks cloud service allows the remote user to access the industrial assets.


Smartlinks ensures that only an authenticated user is allowed to access the industrial assets. The entire communication happens over a Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel. The remote user gets access after the two-step authentication process. Only the DaacoX gateway is connected to the internet and all the industrial assets remain connected to a private Local Area Network.
